My Story

What is my story? It would be easiest to do a bullet list but that would be too long and boring. My mother tells me that she said, “When we brought Mali home from the hospital, she organized the nursery for more efficient diaper changes.”

Let me start in the middle of my story:

My dream at 18 was to be an archaeologist. I left HS loving Latin and classical civilizations and being voted the most organized by my classmates in our 12th-grade yearbook. Well, it turned out classical civilizations liked me less than I loved them. Becoming an archaeologist was not going to happen.

Keeping my chin up - I went to work for non-profits in the hopes of landing at a museum. That was not to happen either.

During this time, I fell in love with graphic design and went back to school for it. Upon graduation, I started my first freelance business, MLM Graphic Design. The focus was to help small non-profits with event collateral.

Again, hitting a professional wall - A friend proposed a simple and enlightening question - “What do REALLY you love?”

The response was simple, “time management.” She looked at me, her face painted with a big, blank “Huh?” Could I make a career out of time management - nothing else had worked - research, more research, and …. why yes I could!

Meet Mali - the time management coach.

This was not an out-of-the-blue choice. At age 16, I read How to Study in College by Walter Pauk.  In the ensuing 30+ years, I continued reading books and articles, watching webinars and videos, and listening to podcasts. Hours and hours of information mining on productivity, time management  - and how they connect to every aspect of life (one’s day-to-day, health, and wellness, food - nutrition management IS time management. Life management to reduce stress and ease and, you go it, happiness too! :)

Now, where does this leave me?

  • My day is managed.

  • My business collateral is designed and complete.

  • Eating under control and set to nourish my body via strategic planning ahead as my new go-t0.

  • When I was newly a mother I came to see how my organizational skills were transferable to parenting.

Can you see it?

  • Through managing my day, there is a home-cooked dinner on the table most nights.

  • Through planning, household tasks such as getting the car cleaned, the dog groomed and grocery shopping get done all while running my own business.

  • Getting regular exercise helps me to control my stress and be a role model of how to be healthy to my daughter.

Individuals, especially parents started coming to me and asking, “how do you do it?” And after saying I wasn’t cloned or had seven sets of arms,  I answered it is a lifetime of learning productivity and time management techniques - I’d done it, I kinda, actually - figured “it” out.

And, so I’d like to help you do so too! Let me help you live your best Heartfull life. It can be done, for I am TOTALLY living it!

More fun facts (and an ever-expanding list…): At age 8, I started my first business, the Artistic Catalog Co., selling stationery and facials (don’t ask because I have no answer)

  • At age 13 I got my first job, walking a dog afterschool

  • At age 17, I spent the summer on an exchange program in Turkey

  • At age 20, I spent the summer working on an archaeological dig in Tuscany

  • At age 32, I gave birth to my daughter

  • At age 45, I saw sunrise at the Sun Gate at Machu Picchu

(P.S. You will notice images of words and phrases made with Scrabble tiles and Scrabble Quip Qubes. This is a nod to my love of word games.)

See What People Have To Say About Working With me…

Working with Mali to reorganize my priorities and my daily/weekly schedule was both fun and VERY HELPFUL! She has a keen eye for sorting out my confused schedule and a fine sense of reality and humor for helping me recognize (and re-order) my activities. I’ve got swimming back in my life!
